Well, was trying a new technique. It didn’t quite turn out the way I was trying for, but I think it came out pretty cool anyway. Will have to try some more and get better at using this stuff.
Two of my paintings were selected to be shown at the local gallery – A Gilded Gallery in Stanwood, Wa. They will be on display from September 14 through Octber 27, 2022 WOOHOO!!!!
I haven’t sketched for a bit because of other issues in my life. I almost forgot how healing it is to pick up a pencil. “She” only looks similar to the statue picture she was drawn from. I thought she really needed to come to life and hope I did her justice in that.
I believe the photo I sketched this from is a statue. It looks like it might be a gravestone. I just fell in love with it. Not sure what the statue is called, but my sketch is “Reflection”. I’m thinking it may become a painting.
