Spring Practice

Its Spring! And I am starting to push myself to get outside and play in the yard. Clearing some small areas of a couple of gardens and planting some new plants in some pots. I will probably keep most of my gardening this year to pots. I need to start slow and build up my energy.

And I am going to be a grandmother! Yay!!!! Something I wondered if it was ever going to happen. And it has. I suppose this means I need to start learning how to draw babies and children, which are much more difficult that adults. And I still have problems with them. I will try and I will work. Because I would like to do some portraits of my grandchild if I can.

Practicing with some botanicals. Starting with some books and then going to take the sketchbook into the yard. I have an amazing yard, so even if I am not ready to hit any trails as of yet, I can get started in my own backyard, or front yard. Wondering why backyard is one word, and front yard is two. Seems they should both be either one or the other.

And I got myself a fisheye lens, so it is probably time to start making a photography page. Along with finishing scanning existing artwork. So much to do. But, I am getting a bit excited about all of it.
